Best Free Email Service?
« on: May 15, 2014, 05:43:05 PM »
Boys .... Any opinions on the best free email service, so that I don't have to change my email address every time I change my ISP?  Not that its that often, but you know....

Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook etc?

Any advice or opinion??

Gmail is handy cause it links to android, and youtube, and google drvie etc.

The outlook online interface is much nicer to use though(but the outlook client interface sucks).

I guess it depends which megacorp you want spying on you.

I also find a large number of owa features only work properly in internet explorer. I am forces to use owa for work sometimes.

decided on hotmail (now outlook) years ago, before gmail existed although now i need gmail with my android account.

so i am with outlook as my primary email, plus it links to onedrive (10Gb storage) and has other microsoft features if you need it (excel, word, powerpoint online etc.)

Just use Stewies email address (with your own password) for spam and a gmail one for your normal mail.

That reminds me Nutty I got an email from one of your mums clients. He doesn't want to pay the extra $100 for bondage equipment so he'll bring his own gimp suit. Can you let her know please.  :carrot

protip you can use your legit gmail for spam and filter it using this one old simple trick. Spammers hate it.

Quote
Let's say you need to sign up for a mailing list that interests you, but you're afraid spammers might get your address. We'll call the list "afterhoursclients". Sign up with the list using the address "stewies_mum+afterhoursclients@gmail.com". Email to that address will still come to your "stewies_mum@gmail.com" address even though the "To:" will include that "+afterhoursclients" in it. Then just setup a filter for afterhoursclients.
